Start’ Em Sit’ Em – Week 7

Fantasy Football Week 7

Here we are for another weekend of fantasy football action coming up.  For those of you who picked up Earnest Grahan like I did, he got us about 13+ fantasy points.  Lets take a look at who you should put in your lineup and who should ride the pine!

Start ‘Em

Tim Tebow, QB, Broncos: Hate to say it but, he is playing Miami and he likes to run a lot.  Should get you some good fantasy points this week.

Jay Cutler, QB, Bears: When Cutler has time to throw, he is pretty good.  With that being said last week against the Vikings he finally had some time., Only eight teams have fewer sacks than the Bucs.

Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers: The Cardinals give up the ninth most fantasy points per game.  So far against accomplished quarterbacks, they give up an average of 21 fantasy points a game, which is a lot!

Ryan Mathews, RB, Chargers: Last year people used to be afraid of the Jets’ run defense. Mathews is in the top six in the NFL in yards per rush, yards after contact per rush and 20-yard rushes when running up the middle. The Jets are allowing 4.2 yards per carry up the middle.

Earnest Graham, RB, Buccaneers: Was one of my best recommendations last week getting 13 plus fantasy points.  LeGarrette Blount is not playing in this game.  Graham ran well last week (109 total yards), and, at the very least you’ll see a lot of dump-off passes and checkdowns. Graham is fifth in the NFL among running backs in terms of receptions. Chicago gives up a surprising 5.4 yards per carry.

Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seahawks: Lynch has been putting up some good numbers the last few weeks, especially in that Giants game.  This week he has another good match up in Cleveland against the Browns.  If you have some guys on a bye or are in need of a running back, Lynch makes a great RB2 RB3.

Maurice Morris, RB, Lions: Jahvid Best may not play this week, so if you need a running back to plug into your lineup Morris may be the answer., Detroit like the Cowboys can’t run the ball, but do mix it up between every 10-15 passes or so.

Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas, WRs, Broncos: With  Llyod traded to the Rams, this opens things up for these two goes to reap the benefits.  When Tebow isn’t doing his Michael Vick impersonation ,he is going to have to throw it. Decker he leads the Broncos in targets, receptions and receiving touchdowns.  Thomas should be picked up off the waiver wire if he is still available. He is jacked and has all the skills in the world.

Dallas Cowboys D/ST: Available in most leagues, Dallas has double-digit fantasy points in three of the past four, including this past week against the Patriots. This week you may also get another gift, the Rams may be without Bradford!

Denver D/ST: Denver is going up against Miami, need I remind you how their offense played last week against the Jets?

Sit’ Em

Montario Hardesty, RB, Browns: Nobody knows whats up with  Peyton Hillis , but regardless,  the Seahawks run defense allows just 3.1 yards per rush, lowest in the NFL.   Play him if your desperate and Hillis is not playing.

Shonn Greene, RB, Jets: First of all I must say, I am a Jet fan.  With that being said, I NEVER, let me repeat NEVER draft Jets players.  So, for all of you asking if you should start  Shonn Greene, well I think you get it.

Plaxico Burress, WR, Jets: Really, sit every Jet other than Holmes and Keller until further notice.

Top Fantasy Football Wide Receivers

Fantasy Football

1.  Andre Johnson –  Again Andre is at the top of the fantasy football, wide receivers list.  thanks to Houston’s passheavyoffense — and the frequency with which the wideout is targeted by QB Matt Schaub, Johnson should have another great year.

2.  Randy Moss –  Now that Brady has played a year with after his injury, I expect him and Moss to be  closer to their 2007 days.

3.  Larry Fitzgerald – After losing Kurt Warner to retirement and Anquan Boldin to the Ravens, Fitzgerald’s numbers are bound to take a hit.  Especially now it looks like the Cardinals are trying to get their run game going since they dont know what they got in Matt Leinhart.

4.  Calvin Johnson –  Was a top receiver in TD’s two years ago and put up good numbers last year on a bad team WITH a ROOKIE quarterback.  Expect Megatron’s number to inprove now that Stafford has a year under his belt.
