Tebow Trade Talks Denied

Latest NFL News and Commentary

While the Jets are evaluating the what to do in the second half of the season, but one of those is not trading the popular backup quarterback.

There was a report by a Jacksonville TV station on Tuesday night that the Jets and Jaguars were talking about a trade to send Tebow to his hometown team.  Source from both the Jets and The Jaguars said that report is not true.

The Post reported last week the Jets would not trade Tebow before the trade deadline, which was pushed back to today at 4 p.m. because of Hurricane Sandy.

The Jaguars are the one team people speculated the Jets could trade Tebow to because that is where he is from and they were the only team other than the Jets to show interest in Tebow when the Broncos put him on the trading block in March.

The Jets have struggled through the first half of the season with how to use Tebow. He has played just 55 snaps on offense and has not scored a touchdown. Jets coach Rex Ryan said Monday that one of the areas the coaches would address during this their bye week is how they have used Tebow and if he should have a larger role.
