FanDuel & DraftKings DFS NHL Hockey Lineup Advice March 12th 2016

Fantasy Hockey

As I do in every post, I will give you analysis on some of the better matchups that you can exploit. While matchups play a bit role in daily fantasy hockey there are plenty of other factors to consider such as injuries, salaries, etc.

My analysis should point you in the right direction, but because hockey is an extremely high variance sport, it is still up to you to process the information and make your own selections.

If you have any questions throughout the day be sure to join the conversation in the comments section below or see us on Twitter @lockdowncorner3 or on Google. Do forget to check your lineups and make sure your goaltender is playing.

Cam Talbot FD $8,300 DK $7,100
Jonathan Quick
FD $8,600 DK $8,400
Both of these guys have great matchups and have been playing great hockey.  Talbot has a 920 save % on the season and has been hot lately winning five of his last six starts. In those game he has only allowed more than 1 goal once.  Tonight he faces the Coyotes who have been struggling, but are coming of a win last night so they should have some tired legs.

Quick and the Kings are a big favorite tonight and the Devils also are playing back to back games. The Devils played well last nigh beating the Sharks, but they will be facing a hot Kings team that is 6-2 over the last 8 games and allows the fewest shots on net.  Ironically the Devils are near the bottom in shots on net.

Connor McDavid FD $7,100 DK$7,100
Zack Smith DK $4,100

McDavid has a great matchup at home against the Coyotes.  The Oilers rookie  has 23 points in the last 20 games and is facing goalie Mike Smith whohas .901 save % and a 3.01 GA.  Another plus is the Oiler have changed up the lines during their last game where Taylor Hall ended up on his line.
Zack Smith his probably the best value of the day going by Salary Cap Crusher.  Not only has be red hot, but he get a great matchup against the Leafs tonight.  Smith has a great floor for cash games because he has been averaging 2.5 shots a game over his last 7 games.

Notables: Mark Scheifele FD $7,100 DK $5,700, Alex Galchenyuk FD $5,900

Craig Smith DK $4,800
Mark Stone FD $6,000 DK $5,900

Smith and the Predators have been playing some great hockey.  Smith has had 5 goals and 6 assists in his last 10 games.   He and his line mates, Forsberg and Ribeiro have been the teams hottest line and also play on the team’s  top PP unit.

Mark Stone and line mate Zack Smith have been lighting the lamp even though the team struggles.  Stone has at least one goal or assist in each of the last 4 games.
Notables: Taylor Hall DK $6,700, Jonathan Huberdeau FD $6,200

Alex Markov FD $4,400 DK $4,900
Morgan Reilly FD $3,400 DK $4,500

With the injury to P.K. Subban, Markov will take charge of the top defensive line.  He has 10 assists in his last 10 games so at his salary, he is a great value at defense tonight.

Reilly is another value play if you need salary relief.  He has been playing good hockey as of late scoring a goal and an assist of 6 shots in the last two games.  He also plays on the Leafs top power play unit and is facing the Senators who sports one of the worst power play kill percentage with 77.3%.

Noteables: Andrej Sekera FD $ 3,900, Drew Doughty FD $6,300

FanDuel Cheat Sheet for Week 10

We all play Daily Fantasy Football in hopes of winning big money, but that requires us to play large GPP tournaments with tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of players.  The only way to separate your team from others is to find low cost players that have a high ceiling along with drafting a number of studs to create a winning daily fantasy football lineup.

Top Quarterback Value Picks

Kirk Cousins $6,500 –

The Saints defense is at the bottom of nearly every defensive category this season. They rank 32nd in touchdowns allowed and fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks per pass attempt.

We all know Kirk Cousins is known for having bad games, but he also possesses the ability to put up some big fantasy games like we saw in Week 7, putting up 300 yards and four total touchdowns. Against this defense and his ability to put up numbers, Cousins makes a great GPP play this week on FanDuel AND DraftKings this week,

Joe Flacco $7,500

Flacco has averaged 19.8 points per game the last 4 weeks, and even losing Steve Smith for the season, Flacco should get enough volume to put up fantasy numbers. Their terrible pass defense causes them to get into shoot outs every week, so he’s worth a start.

Top Running Back Value Picks

Darren McFadden $7,000 Continue reading

FanDuel & DraftKings Strategy: Low Cost Sleeper Picks

Win FanDuel DraftKings

Everybody that plays large millionaire maker or GPP tournaments on FanDuel or DraftKings at some point needs to fill out their lineups with some low cost, high upside players. Those players using the Salary Cap Crush have probably noticed a number of these on this weeks player value sheet.

If you are in one of those large GGP tournaments on FanDuel or DraftKings this week with 383,000 entries in it, you will have trouble winning your contest if you have the same lineup as 200,000 of those entries.

For those of you that didn’t notice or didn’t get your Salary Cap Crusher sheet this week, here are a few low salary high upside options to help you round out your lineup.

Davante Adams $5,500 (FanDuel) $4,400 (DraftKings) – His price looks good on both sites, but everybody is ALL over him.  Try James Jones instead.

James Jones $4,500 $4.200 – On DraftKings his price is very close to Davante Adams, but on FanDuel he is priced better, $4,500!  The Packers have not talked about Jones’ role, but I would imagine it would be pretty significant especially in the red zone where he had 13 TD’s a few years ago.  Add to that no Jordy Nelson.

Cole Beasley $3,200 – Another guy I used a lot at the end of last year.  Look to Beasley to get all the underneath stuff while Dez gets all the attention from the Giants.

Chris Ivory – Though not really a sleeper, his salary is cheap because of the Jets offense.  Manyu people figure as long as he gets in the end zone once he will be worth it.  I figure he gets in at least 2 TD’s and 100 yards.

Sam Bradford $7,500 FanDuel – I love me some Sam Bradford today.  He should have to throw a lot against the Atlanta Falcons with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones.  His price is very cheap which allows you to stack your lineup with other studs.

New York Jets Defense $2,900 – Say what you will about the Jets, but with all the free agent signings they should be much improved.  On DraftKings they are going for as little as $2,900 and they are playing the Cleveland Browns this week.  BTW, can you name me two receivers from that team?? Yeah I thought so.

Daily Fantasy Hockey – FanDuel & DraftKings Player Advice

Fantasy Hockey

DraftKings Fantasy HockeyHope everybody’s Valentine’s Day Games went well, and you won some money on FanDuel and DraftKings.  Today we have a small slate of games so options will be limited.  Im looking to target players from the Flyers , Blues, and Ducks Anaheim Ducks.

The Flyers have a great matchup in Buffalo tonight.  A team that lets up the most goals per game.

The Blues have been really hot lately, they are 12-2-1 in their last 15 games.  They have a high powered offense and some good top lines.

Anaheim should be well rested, since they haven’t played since Thursday.  Today they host the Washington Capitals who will be playing their second game in less than 24 hours..  The Ducks, like the Blues have also been hot, especially at home where they are 19-6-1.

Here are some good fantasy plays on FanDuel and DraftKings:

C Claude Giroux Philadelphia Flyers at Buffalo Sabres

Great matchup, playing the Buffalo Sabres.  Enough Said.

W Jakub Voracek, Philadelphia Flyers at Buffalo Sabres
Voracek has been playing well and has a great matchup today.  I like his price and production on both FanDuel and DraftKings.

Draft some Flyers for your daily fantasy hockey team today. Spend up for Giroux and Voracek. Buffalo allows over 3.4 goals per game, which is the most in the league
