Week 7 is in the books and we still have many of our star players questionable to return in week 8, namely A.J. Green and Calvin Johnson. This week we add two Bills running backs to that list, C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson.
Spiller broke his collarbone and is out for the season, and Fred Jackson (groin) could miss at least 4 weeks. That leaves the door open for Bryce Brown to see his first game as a Buffalo Bill.
Brown should be the No. 1 running back to target this week in all leagues off waivers. Next I would target Tre Mason of the Rams. Mason should remain the starter for the Rams, but unlike Brown, he has a lot of competition in that Rams backfield.
Other notable players this week would be Ryan Tannehill as the No. 1 quarterback (quietly putting up good fantasy numbers and gets Jacksonville this week) and Doug Baldwin who stepped up last week as the No. 1 receiver (since Percy Harvin was traded). Owen Daniels is the No. 1 tight end Im recommending this week (that may actually be out on the waiver wire) because of his matchup at Cincinnati, and the Dolphins DST.
The 49ers and Giants are on a bye, leaving Fantasy owners without some potential stars, such as Kapernick, Gore, Crabtree, in addition to injuries with the Bills running backs, Pierre Thomas (shoulder),and Reggie Wayne (elbow). It should make for another important week on the waiver wire.
