Week 4 Start or Sit Advice

Quarterbacks to Start Week 4

Philip Rivers (vs Jax): Its to easy to just pick the quarterback and defense playing Jacksonville and pick them as a starter, that’s a no brainer.  I put him on my list for two reasons, one I know that many people like myself play the one week fantasy games  and he looks like a good buy this week.  The second reason is, Rivers is coming off consecutive games with at least 23 Fantasy points and facing a Jaguars defense

Colin Kaepernick (vs Phi): Kaepernick is he has at least 20 Fantasy points in two of his first three games, and now he gets the Eagles defense who is giving up the 2nd most fantasy points to quarterbacks this year.  Its hard to trust Kaepernick after his past two games, but this is a must win game and he has a great match up.

Jay Cutler (vs GB): So far this season, Cutler has at least 20 Fantasy points in all three games, and at least 19 Fantasy points in two of his past three home games against the Packers. I expect him to keep this trend going and to lean on Forte a little more if Marshall is unable to go.

Kirk Cousins (vs NYG): Last week game against the Eagles got me thinking about how similar Cousins situation is to that of Nick Foles last season with Michael Vick.  He has been playing very well and now has another great matchup with the Giants.  The Giants have allowed 20 Fantasy points to two of the three quarterbacks they faced, one of which was Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Quarterbacks to Sit Week 4

Tom Brady (vs KC): What can I say, its another down year for Brady.  We all hoping he would have coming out party against Oakland, but we got let down instead.  I Really thought this would be a bounce back this year, but I was wrong.  You cant trust Brady when Geno Smith, Ryan Fitz Patrick and everyone else are outscoring him.

Alex Smith (vs. NE): Smith had his first big game of the season in Week 3 throwing three touchdowns to a running back and his tight end. This shows how weak their passing attack is.  This week the Patriots may decide to put Revis on Dwayne Bowe , which may really hurt Bowes number.  So far Revis has not exactly been the Revis of old, but Bowe has not been the Dwayne Bowe of years ago.

Running Backs to Start Week 4

Matt Forte (vs GB): Forte does very well against Green Bay and they have allowed the most rushing touchdowns than this year.

Lamar Miller (vs Oak) Miller had a good week 3 and is playing Oakland this week.  Not sure how I feel about them running on the pitch this week (yes they are playing in England), but should put up good numbers.

Donald Brown (vs Jax): With Ryan Mathews and Danny Woodhead  injured that left quite a work load for Donald Brown.  I don’t expect him to get all those touches again, but he will touch it a lot. The upcoming schedule is also very friendsly starting with the Jags this week.

Matt Asiata (vs ATL): I don’t think he is a very dynamic running back, with teams on bye this week and the Falcons allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season you should start him.

Running Backs to Sit Week 4

Reggie Bush and Joique Bell, Detroit: The Jets have allowed fewer fantasy points to opposing running backs than the Jets. Add to that the fact that they both split the workload makes me want to avoid them if you have a better option.

.Chris Johnson, New York Jets: He just doesn’t look like CJ2K or even 1K anymore. Ivory seems to be the most productive now and the Lions have allowed the second-fewest yards per rush this season.

Wide Receivers to Start Week 4

Jeremy Maclin (vs SF): Maclin had a good game last week against the Redskins and this weeks matchup against San Francisco who has allowed the most receiving touchdowns to opposing wide receivers this season makes him a nice play.

Julian Edelman (vs KC):  Seems to be Bradys more reliable receiver and has a decent matchup against the Cheifs even if Brady doesn’t throw that much anymore.

Vincent Jackson (vs Pit):  Mike Glennon should be good news, for V-Jax owners.  Just look at when Glennon took over last season and the game last week against the Falcons. The Steelers defense is giving up a lot of passes to opposing quarterbacks and now they are without Ike Taylor.

Keenan Allen (vs  Jax): Allen has been struggling and if he cant break out this game then he may be unstartable!  Wow can’t believe I said it!

Brandin Cooks (vs Dal):  Drew Brees is starting to trust him and now they are playing Dallas, the team that has allowed more big-play passing touchdowns (15-plus yards) than any other team. Got it.

Wide Receivers to Sit Week 4

T.Y. Hilton and Reggie Wayne (vs Ten):  Inconsistant.  I said that last year of these two guys.  You never know who is going to have the big day, and sometimes its neither!

Dwayne Bowe, Kansas City: Should not be owned in standard 10-team league. Period.

Tight Ends to Start Week 4

Delanie Walker (vs Ind):  The Colts have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season and he is a main target of lockers.

Antonio Gates (vs Jax): Starting the season off hot and gets the Jaguars this week.

Larry Donnell (vs Was):  Seems to be the new fantasy version of Andre Brown, 1 yrd and a touchdown!

Tight Ends to Sit Week 4

Jason Witten, Dallas: Not getting enough love from Romo, hard to start him even thought this game should be a shoot out.

Owen Daniels, Baltimore: His two score week may be a fluke, Not sure if he will pick up the slake now that Pitta is gone.
