Waiver-wire news changes constantly throughout the week between injuries and depth-chart changes. Let’s take a look at the best fantasy roster pickups for this week heading into Week 4.  This week starts teams on bye weeks so double check your rosters!

Donald Brown, RB, San Diego Chargers

I drafted Brown in one of my leagues where there are extra roster spots.  Donald Brown was a nice fantasy running back in 2013.  Now with Ryan Mathews out and Danny Woodhead out for the season,  Brown is going to get a lot of work in that San Diego’s backfield.

Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins

If you didn’t get him last week, you need to go ut and pick him up this weelk after his outstanding performance last week agains the Eagles.  .He plays the New York Giants this week, who have a very questionable pass defense.

Delanie Walker, TE, Tennessee Titans

I mentioned Walker the last few weeks and strangly enough he may still be available in some leagues.

Lorenzo Taliaferro, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Figuring out who is running the ball in Baltimore has been difficult to say the least.  First it was Justin Forsett, then it was Bernard Pierce, and now … maybeTaliaferro??  He led the team in touches (18) against the Cleveland Browns and looked good doing so  with 91 rushing yards and a touchdown. While Pierce (thigh) may be back in action this weekend, Taliaferro is may be worth a look just in case.

Alfred Blue, RB, Houston Texans

Handcuffing my never have been more important than this Fantasy Football season.  Some savvy owners jumped on Alfred Blue Sunday before the games started and it paid off.  However, there is a good chance he is still available in which case you should grab him. Blue, started in Week 3 with Arian Foster out.  The way the Texans like. To run, Blue should see a huge workload.

John Brown, WR, Arizona Cardinals

Brown will probably get a look off the waiver wire in Week 4 after scoring a pair of touchdown catches this week against the San Francisco 49ers. Brown may only be useful in deeper leagues at this point since he is third on the depth chart behind Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd.

Jordan Matthews, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

Mathews is also a reach.  He is a rookie and there are a lot of mouths to feed in Philly.  Matthews, scored two touchdowns this week in the win over the Washington Redskins.  The Eagles like to thow the ball and Reilly Cooper hasn’t been the red zone target we thought he would be.  Maybe Mathews takes over that role.

Brian Quick, WR, St. Louis Rams

Probably gone im most leagues but has been putting up fair number and gets a ton of receptions if you are in a PPR league.  People probably have avoided Quick because of the quarterback situation in St. Louis any finally found the endzone this week against the Cowboys.   He is on a bye this week, but if you have the roaster space, you can get on him a week before everyone else does.

Owen Daniels, TE, Baltimore Ravens):

With  Dennis Pitta  out for the season with a hip injury, Daniels stands to see a lot of work as his replacement. Daniels, is getting older and will not be a deep threat or get the separation like he used to , but he knows Kubiak’s system  and should see quite a number of targets.

Marvin Jones, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

If you have roster room and need a receiver, Jones may be worth stashing away on your bench.  Jones had a number of fantasy worthy weeks last year lining up opposite A.J. Green.  The Bengals are on a bye this week so he makes for a great pickup with other fantasy owners just looking to fill in the holes in their lineups with the bye weeks starting.
