Week 13 Fanduel and Draftkings Strategy Advice: Daily Fantasy Football Player Picks

FanDuelAnother week of Daily Fantasy Football is in the book and now we at week 13 and a great day of Thanksgiving games! Thanksgiving is all about family, food, friends and FOOTBALL!  Nothing brings American families together like watching Football on Thanksgiving Day. Its also the start of the Holiday season with Black Friday shopping and sales going on and of course that brings us to Christmas.

For DFS’ers this is a great holiday.  There are so many Daily Fantasy Games on FanDuel and DraftKings geared soley to the Thursday games.  Think of the entertainment value of that, being really glued to your seat with an extra incentive to watch all the games.  I’ll spend some extra focus on the Thanksgiving games as far as targeting players because its such a special day of games.  Then I’ll cover all of the Sunday Monday games as well..

Every week I analyze the upcoming games here and not only do I try to give some advice to win at your FanDuel and DraftKings games, but to look  back on the previous week’s results and learn from my loses so I can see what worked and what didn’t to help improve going forward.. My week 12 was a mixed bag as far as my results. I had another solid week on Fanduel but took a loss on Draftkings. You can’t win every week in Daily Fantasy. You just need to manage your cash flow so that you can be profitable by seasons end.  Maximizing your gains on the good weeks while minimizing your losses on down weeks. By using the proper mix of contest like, 50/50, HTH, Small GPP and Large GPP’s is the key to maintaining your cash flow.

DraftKings is running a promotion this week called the Thanksgiving Wishbone Tournament and they are giving a $20 voucher to enter this week.  If you don’t already have DraftKings account, you can register for you can sign up below.
You have a chance at a $100,000 first place prize!

Since the slate this week is broken up in to two separate groupings I’m going to switch things up and deal with them separately. Keep in mind that a 3 game slate needs to be treated very differently when considering GPP versus HTH. For those playing Thursday GPP’s there is no move too obscure or risky. There simply aren’t that many viable players to choose from. Winners will generally find a player or two that you would normally never consider and have them go off for them. These contests HEAVILY favor newer player for obvious reasons.

11/27 12:30 ET At Detroit -7 Chicago 47

At first glance, this game looks like it will be a blow out and Vegas sees this as fairly high scoring  game. Chicago’s defense has been very poor (Packers tore them up twice).  How in the world are they going to stop Megatron?  He should be in a number of your Thursday lineups. Megatron is priced fairly low on Draftkings this week which is an extra bonus.  I also like Golden Tate and Joique Bell this week. With all the attention Megatron is going to get, Tate should be able to run free catching a ton underneath. As for Chicago, Im not feeling anyone other than Forte and if the price is to high I’ll probably fade him too this week.. Loins Defense is in play this week too!

11/27 4:30 ET At Dallas -3 Philadephia 54.5

This is my favorite game on Thursday.  Vegas has this as a shootout and is one of the highest O/U this week.  I’m going to be targeting players from this game for DFS purposes. For Thursday only games, everyone in this game is in play and likely to be highly drafted by DFers as well.. Sanchez, Maclin, Matthews and McCoy are all good plays., Celek and Ertz are all GPP playable. How bout them Cowboys?  Well Romo, Dez, Murray and Witten are great starts for cash games and Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley are the GPP plays.

11/27 8:30 ET At San Francisco -1 Seattle 40

I like Vegas, see this as a low scoring and probably a little boring after watching the other two games. I personally will probably fade most of these guys except for maybe the Defenses and Boldin has been hot recently.

Sunday Games
 WAS @ IND (51)

11/30 1:00 ET At Indianapolis -9.5 Washington 51

This one I highlighted as a high scoring game and a great match up for the Colts.  The Colts are heavily favored at home taking on a Redskins team that is still just a mess. Washington just benched RG3 and will be starting Colt McCoy this week. Vegas seems to see the Colts putting up around 30 points which means Luck and T.Y. are great plays this week. Im a little down on Richardson this week and would take a flyer on Heron at RB for the Colts.  As.for Washington, well, that’s another story. McCoy at his low price tag is playable, so that could help you fill your fantasy lineup with a bunch of studs. DeSean may be a good one for GPP plays. Morris could be an interesting option. After what the Patriots did to the Colts poor run defense two weeks ago. He makes for a very solid option this week.
TEN @ HOU (42.5)

11/30 1:00 ET At Houston -6.5 Tennessee 42.5

The Titans run defense just got killed by Bell and McCoy. If he is playing, Foster is a MUST start.

CLE @ BUF (41)

11/30 1:00 ET At Buffalo -2.5 Cleveland 41

The low O/U Vegas sees  in this game is telling us that we should probably avoid it all together. I don’t have any problem putting Gordon out there after his 16 targets last week..

SD @ BAL (46)

11/30 1:00 ET At Baltimore -5.5 San Diego 46

Baltimore’s Defense is really good at home. I’m not willing to start anyone on San Diego’s offense right now. Baltimore I’d start the usual guys,. Forsett is a definite after coming off a monster effort in week 12.  And both Smith’s are in play as well

NYG @ JAC (44.5)

11/30 1:00 ET NY Giants -2.5 At Jacksonville 44.5

Last week we all learned that ODB is not human. His hands have some sort of bionic implants that are able to cause a football to stick to them very much like a magnet. It’s rare that we get to play bonafied superheroes in our fantasy lineups so take advantage of it while you have the chance. Rashad Jennings and Eli are in play this week as well. The Jags on the other hand have been completely awful on offense recently. I was completely shocked that Gus Bradley called out Bortles as needing to improve this week. I have no interest in risking my heard earned cash on players from this awful team.

CIN @ TB (44.5)

11/30 1:00 ET Cincinnati -3.5 At Tampa Bay 44.5

I consider this game neutral as far as the Vegas Lines go. The O/U is a bit low but nothing awful. Neither team has a good defense. I’d roll out all the usual suspects here. Evans, Green, Dalton & McCown are all playable. I would avoid the running game for both teams completely.
OAK @ STL (42.5)

11/30 1:00 ET At St. Louis -7 Oakland 42.5

Rams Defense is the best play here. I also like Tre Mason as a high floor RB punt. The Raiders Offense is a complete Fade.

NO@PIT (53.5)

11/30 1:00 ET At Pittsburgh -4 New Orleans 53.5

Of the Sunday games, this is probably my second favorite.  Both offenses are in play here since the defenses are not very good.  For the Steelers, Big Ben, Brown, Bell and Bryant are in play. For the Saints I like Ingram and Stills, Im not a big fan of Brees playing outdoors.

CAR@MIN (42.5)

11/30 1:00 ET At Minnesota -3 Carolina 42.5

Im probably going to fade this game altogether.  For the price I may play Asiata in a lineup or two.

ARI@ATL (44.5)

11/30 4:05 ET Arizona -2.5 At Atlanta 44.5

The Falcons defense has been horrible.  Ellington is a must start and Fitz if he plays.

NE @ GB (58.5)

11/30 4:25 ET At Green Bay -3 New England 58.5

This is my favorite game of the week.  People are already calling it a Superbowl preview.  Vegas sees this game as the highest scoring game of the year.  Im all in on Gronk and Lacy this week.  Both offenses are great, so try to work as many of them into your lineups as possible.

DEN @ KC (50)

11/30 8:30 ET Denver -1.5 At Kansas City 50

This game is expected to be close and high scoring. These division games are sometimes tricky to predict. Denver has a fairly matchup proof offense and I wouldn’t necessarily fade any of them this week. Vegas is projecting Denver to put up 26 points in this game which is actually a bit below average for them. C.J. Anderson is my top play for Denver based on price and opportunity. For KC only Charles and Kelce are playable on any given week.

MIA @ NYJ (42)

12/1 8:30 ET Miami -6 At NY Jets 42

With Geno Smith starting this week, I’d fire up Miami defense and Jarvis Landry.  On FanDuel he is a bit pricey, but Tannehill should have a pretty good game against the Jets weak secondary and now Wilkerson isn’t playing so that may effect that Jets pass rush.
