Kevin Smith, RB, Detroit Lions : I was going to put him away on my bench last week but I didnt have room, but Smith is a good waiver add, Considering his 201 yards from scrimmage Sunday versus the terrible Carolina Panthers run D. He’s your obvious No. 1 add this week, though he has a much tougher matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Smith has a chance to stick as the Lions’ starter.

Toby Gerhart, RB, Minnesota Vikings: Adrian Peterson won’t play in Week 12, making Gerhart an option for AP owners Sunday against a strong Atlanta Falcons run D. Im concerned about the Vikings offense, but he should have a full workload to himself, and that’s worth something.

Ryan Grant, RB, Green Bay Packers: I figured I’d mention him just in case he’s been dropped in your league. James Starks suffered injury last week, and considering the Packers get only three days off Starts will most likely be out. That likely means Grant gets the most backfield touches Thursday.

C.J. Spiller, RB, Buffalo Bills: Fred Jackson reportedly will be out Week 12 against the New York Jets. That would likely mean Spiller gets the start. The Buffalo offense looks just awful these days and with the Jets playing the run quite well, between touches from scrimmage and catching passes he should put up some numbers. He also has some good matchups coming up.

Montario Hardesty, RB, Cleveland Browns: Chris Ogbonnaya has submitted two good games in a row, racking up 243 yards from scrimmage in Weeks 10 and 11 combined. But Hardesty is a stronger, tougher runner, and would definately get some of the touches.

Jerome Simpson, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: Simpson’s 152 yards receiving on eight grabs versus the Baltimore Ravens last week got peoples attention. With A.J. Green out of the lineup, Simpson got bumped up to the No. 1 receiver role,. Simpson could get Andy Dalton’s primary looks again.

DeMarco Murray, RB, Cowboys: With Murray playing well, I’m pretty sure the Cowboys are aware that the Bills allow 4.6 yards per carry.

Michael Bush, RB, Raiders: Raiders can run the ball and McFadden is out!

Willis McGahee, RB, Broncos: Since Tebow took over, the Broncos rushing attepts have increased dramatically. With McGahee expected to get the majority of work, he’s a solid play against a Chiefs defense that allows the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs.

Jordy Nelson, WR, Packers: One of my best draft picks this season, and the Vikings are 29th in the NFL against No. 2 wide receivers. Aaron Rodgers‘ said Jody just knows where to go when plays break down and is his No. 2 wide receiver.

Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers: The targets continue to pile up, as do the yards, the fantasy production and the crowd on the bandwagon. Somehow still available in many leagues.

Laurent Robinson has scored touchdowns in consecutive games and getting alot of targets.

Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers - New England Patriots were so worried about not letting Mike Wallace beat them deep, and thus played a ton of soft Cover 2 against the Steelers’ spread formations. This was great for Brown and Heath Miller, who were open underneath all day. Keep an eye on Hines Ward’s ankle injury, it should be back soon and he’ll steal targets. Brown has separated himself as the best No. 2 target here behind Wallace. .

Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Oakland Raiders: If you are in need, especially once Carson Palmer gets going. Heyward-Bey should definitely be owned in all leagues. The Raiders’ pass attack won’t look as terrible as it did in Week 7 versus the Kansas City Chiefs; Carson Palmer simply didn’t know the offense. Bey is absolutely the Raiders’ No. 1 wideout.

Javon Ringer, RB, Tennessee Titans: I think he’s definitely worth a stash as this CJ2K drama continues Ringer basically replaced him in the fourth quarter in the last game. Ringer still isn’t startable. but let’s see what happens.

Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Kansas City Chiefs : While Breaston did make a big catch in overtime and managed three grabs for 42 yards overall, it was Baldwin who was on the field more, and appeared to play in most of the Chiefs’ two-receiver sets. I still have questions about this his route running, but he flashed his talent on that long TD catch Monday night. Depending on matchup he could be a low end WR3.

Chris Ogbonnaya, RB, Cleveland Browns: Hillis’ status is still a mystery and Montario Hardesty lasted two carries in his spot Sunday before going down with a calf injury. He’ll certainly miss Week 9 and might be out longer, and Peyton Hillis‘ hamstring may not be ready for Sunday. That might leave Ogbonnaya as the starter by default. He’s big and solid built and will be playing against his old team, the Texans. Ogbonnaya would be a candidate for 15-plus touches, which is never bad news for fantasy owners. The Texans defense has been playing well., so who knows what he will do with all those touches.

Dallas Cowboys Defense: Great matchup against the Seahawks and want paybacks after the beating they took last week.

Kansas City Chiefs Defense – Chiefs seem to be hitting their stride the last few weeks and have a good matchup against Miami. Even though the Dolphins offense looked better, they should still be good for a few turnovers.

Houston Texans Defense - Playing Cleveland.. enough said.

If Your Really Desperate

Curtis Brinkley, RB, San Diego Chargers: Brinkley was the victim of a shooting in 2009, and apparently still has a bullet lodged somewhere near his heart. Brinkley overcame all that to play a significant role Monday night, as Mike Tolbert missed the game because of a hamstring injury, and Ryan Mathews suffered a groin injury during the game. Unfortunately, Brinkley himself suffered a concussion, and his status for Week 9 is very much up in the air. As such, he’s probably really only addable for deep-leaguers.

Tashard Choice, RB, Washington Redskins: Mike Shanahan got another running back to get his large list of RB’s back up after losing one. The Skins grabbed Choice off waivers from the archrival Cowboys. In Dallas, Choice never lived up to expectations, and now will join Ryan Torain and Roy Helu for a chance at some touches. For the moment, Choice is the third-stringer in this offense and It sounds like a hamstring injury will likely keep Choice out for Week 9, but he could be ready if anything happens to the other two guys.

Kevin Faulk, RB, New England Patriots: Week 8’s snap count for Patriots top two running backs broke down like this: Faulk played 39 snaps. BenJarvus Green-Ellis played 13. This basically makes Danny Woodhead obsolete… sucks for Woodhead owners. The very fact that the 35-year-old Faulk could get the rock this much in his first game back from his torn ACL is amazing. but he does seem to be one of Bill Belichick’s favorites.

Steve Slaton, RB, Miami Dolphins: Slaton already gets the goalline touches, but depending on Daniel Thomas getting his hammy healthy this week, and how Reggie Bush plays.

Patriots’ Julian Edelman Arrested

Apparently the after this week the New England Patriots have to get their act together….. no not the beating they too from the Steelers, but their players seem to need dating advice… yeah, go ahead, check out that link it may help.

First Gronkowski is seen with his shirt on off and on a pornstars back, and now another Patriots player is in the news for indecent acts. Julian Edelman got arrested for grouping a woman in a club.

According to witnesses Edelman “bumped” into her but it was clear by everyones reaction that had gone on.

Police were called to the club at about 1:30 a.m. and met a woman who said Edelman, 25, reached under her costume and grabbed her crotch, according to an application for a criminal complaint.

A witness who was with the woman said he observed Edelman bump into her and then saw her face “change into an expression of shock,” the complaint said.

Gronkowski seems to be able to get the women with out getting into trouble, maybe him and Brady need to help Edelman step up his game on AND off the field… cause apparently he doesnt have a game with the ladies if you needs to do crap like that!

Patriots TE Gronkowski, Hanging Out With Another Tight End, Porn Star Bibi Jones

New England Patriots Tight End Rob Gronkowski had a great week…. And he didn’t even play this week!

During his week off Gronkowski’s great adventures in Arizona consisted posing shirtless with adult film star BiBi Jones who was wearing his No. 87 New England jersey.

Jones, who didn’t know who Gronkowski was until meeting him through mutual friends last week, posted the pics on her Twitter account.

Miss Jones tweeted this and one other photo of herself and the man she called her “favorite football player” sometime last night. Much like Miss Jones, these photos are getting around. Earlier this week tweeted that she had just had “a lot of fun” with Paul Bissonnette of the NHL’s Phoenix Coyotes and in the past was involved with baseball players such as Dan Uggla.

Rob Gronkowski addressed his bye week “great” adventures in Arizona saying,

“I didn’t intend anything to hurt the reputation of anyone on the New England Patriots or on behalf of Robert Kraft,” said Gronkowski, who also met with the team’s owner.

“It was just a simple picture, and that’s all.”

Miss Jones said nothing more occurred between her and Gronkowski beyond the Twitter poses, even if she was eager for the, um, relationship to progress. Jones says she’s regularly slept with pro athletes and even named a few.

“Nothing happened. I wish something had, but nothing happened,” she said of Gronkowski.

“I asked if I could have some pictures with him and he said, ‘Yeah, wait, put on my jersey.’ I said, ‘OK.’ We were taking pictures. I asked him if I could put it on Twitter because some athletes wouldn’t want that since I do do adult films, and they don’t want to be associated with that. He was really cool with it because I have more Twitter followers than him.”

And why did Gronkowski have the jersey readily handy?

“He just carries it around with him,” Jones said. “That’s what I asked, ‘So you just have a jersey?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, for times like this.’ … He had it in his suitcase.”

Running Backs

Add ‘Em

Reggie Bush, RB, Dolphins
Though im not a big Reggie Bush fan, the Giants have been a bit weak defending the run. Plus he will be the lone starter this week. If he is available in your league I highly suggest you go out and get him.

Bernard Scott, Bengals
Analysis: Cedric Benson will serve his one-game suspension in Week 8, which leaves Scott as the Bengals number 1 rusher this week. It’s not the best matchup, but Scott could be a useful injury or bye-week replacement given all the running backs out or hurting in Week 8. This is really just a good one week option.

Delone Carter, Colts
Week 7: Had 10 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown with a fumble at New Orleans.
Analysis: If Addai is out again in Week 8 at Tennessee then Carter could help as a bye-week or injury replacement. He does have two touchdowns in his past three games even if he’s not running at a high level and the way the Titans played against the run last week…. Well enough said!

Roy Helu, Redskins
Analysis: With Hightower out for the season, Helu is the No. 2 option behind Ryan Torain, who tends to be injury prone. It might not be long before Helu is the starter for the Redskins, so grab him for your bench. Torain should get the majority of carries in Week 8 at Buffalo and as long as he’s healthy, but Helu will get his touches as well, especially in the passing game.

Keiland Williams, Lions
Week 7: Had nine carries for 44 yards vs. Atlanta.
Analysis: We’re not sure when or if Best will return this year, but Williams will be the No. 2 running back for the Lions behind Morris until that happens. He will be the one at the goal line in short-yardage situations. Williams is worth stashing on your bench. Morris is the running back to own with Best out, but Williams could eventually prove to be valuable.

Scout

Chris Ogbonnaya, Browns
Week 7: Had three carries for 15 yards and five catches for 43 yards vs. Seattle.
Analysis: If Hillis remains out for Week 8 at San Francisco then you could see Ogbonnaya again play in a reserve role behind Hardesty. He showed off his receiving skills against the Seahawks and could be a useful option in deeper leagues where receptions count.

Wide Receiver

Add ‘Em

Jabar Gaffney, Redskins
Week 7: Had four catches for 68 yards and a fumble at Carolina.
Analysis: Gaffney will assume the No. 1 role for the Redskins with Moss out, and he should see an increase in targets, which will help his value. Gaffney was having a nice season so far with four games with at least six Fantasy points. Fred Davis now becomes the best receiving option for Washington. But Gaffney is still worth adding now that Moss is out.

Tight Ends

Add ‘Em

Jared Cook, Titans
Analysis: Cook didn’t have a very productive game against the Texans, but none of the Titans did in a blowout loss(I had Nate Washington… 1 point… really Nate??). Still, Cook scored the only touchdown, and he now has two touchdowns in his past three games. He has a very favorable matchup in Week 8 against the Colts, who just allowed two touchdowns to New Orleans tight end Jimmy Graham in Week 7.

Jake Ballard, Giants
Analysis: We’ve been telling you for the past few weeks about Ballard, and he has done well in his previous three games with two touchdowns and at least eight Fantasy points in each one. He has another favorable matchup this week as he faces the Dolphins at home in Week 8. If you’re looking for a bye-week replacement, then pickup Ballard .

Visanthe Shiancoe, Vikings
Analysis: Someone in my league beat me to him last week. Had four catches for 45 yards and a touchdown vs. Green Bay. Shiancoe could be a good bye-week replacement again in Week 8. The Panthers just struggled with Washington tight end Fred Davis, who scored a touchdown, and Shiancoe is coming off his best game of the season in his first start with Ponder. Hopefully he continues to be Ponders security blanket.

New York Giants Defense

I cant believe Im suggesting them after they made Tarvaris Jackson look like a solid NFL quarterback, but with Justin Tuck looking like he’ll return from his groin and neck injuries after sitting during New York’s bye, which is great news and the winless Miami Dolphins coming to town. It should be a good time to get healthy. If the Giants are taken in your league, you can still invest in the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense, though I’d prefer its matchup against the Seahawks if it weren’t in Seattle.
