FanDuel Daily Fantasy Hockey Lineups GPP and 50/50

Check out our FanDuel DFS fantasy hockey daily picks and lineup suggestions for Tuesday, January 19th

Tuesday January 19th should be an great night of hockey with eight games to choose from. That means 16 teams full of fantasy hockey options on FanDuel.  We break down some of the best players to put in your FanDuel lineups. Make sure your fantasy lineup is set because the first game starts at 7:00 PM EST..

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers face off in what should be a good fantasy night for the Flyers. The Flyers have won five of their last six and have won 6 of their last ten games. Meanwhile Toronto has lost five in a row.

The Washington Capitals play the Columbus Blue Jackets in another game that should a blow out for the Caps. The Capitals have won seven of their last ten games while Columbus is just four of their last ten. The game that should also be lopsided is the one between the Edmonton Oilers and Tampa Bay Lightning.  Be sure to include some Lightning players in your lineup along with some Caps players.

In a Central Division showdown, the Boston Bruins face the Montreal Canadiens tonight. Both the Bruins and Canadiens come into this game struggling.  The Bruins got beaten up the last time these two teams met in the outdoor series 5-1.

Some other games of interest are the games between the Vancouver Canucks who have not been scoring much and New York Rangers, Calgary Flames and great goal tending New Jersey Devils.   The red hot Patrick Kane and Chicago Blackhawks take on the Nashville Predators, and Dallas Stars and Los Angeles Kings.

All fantasy hockey salaries are as listed on FanDuel. Be sure to foloow @lockdowncorner for any updates and fantasy advice.

Left Wing Top Plays

Alex Ovechkin – Washington Capitals ($9,200): It’s hard not to go back to what’s working, especially when it comes to the red hot offense of the Washington Capitals.  They have been unstoppable and I’m betting that the last-place Blue Jackets wont be able to stop them as well..

Ovechkin has nine goals in his last ten games. Today he goes against the Blue Jacket, a team that gives up almost 3 goals a game. He has 12 goals against them in 19 career games.

The Capitals should have plenty of scoring chances in this one, and I like Alex Ovechkin’s chances considering he leads the NHL with 222 shots on goal.

Ovechkin, playing with Nicklas Backstrom and TJ Oshie, so if you can’t work Ovechkin into your lineup, maybe you can get some exposure to him through his linemates

If you want someone on a different line who has been flying under the radar, Washington is second line center Evgeny Kuznetsov actually leads the Capitals in scoring. He’s also has a +23 on the season, which is great if you’re playing on hockey on FanDuel.

Left Wing Value Picks

Andre Burakovsky – Washington Capitals ($3,900): Burakovsky has had the opportunity to play with Evgeny Kuznetsov and Justin Williams. He has three multi-point games in his last four games.

Artemi Panarin – Chicago Blackhawks ($5,800): Panarin leads all rookies in points and it doesn’t hurt he is playing opposite Patrick Kane.

Notables: Kevin Fiala ($3,000)

Right Wing Top Plays

Patrick Kane ($9,000)– Kane has been unstoppable this season for the red-hot Chicago Blackhawks. Kane has four goals and two assists his past two games and averages 5.8 fantasy hockey points per game.  He has been a cornerstone of my daily fantasy hockey lineups ever week. Kane also has 19 goals and 20 assists against Nashville in 46 career games.

Kane can confidently be played tonight, as can his linemates,  Artemi Panarin and Artem Anisimov.  Kane, to Panarin has been quite a stack this year.  These two could win you your contest on their own.

Nikita Kucherov – Tampa Bay Lightning ($6,800): Kucherov has started to get hot with a four game point streak. He plays against the Oilers tonight and should see enough opportunities to put up a score. The Oilers just played on Monday night. Kucherov is a great option for your fantasy team tonight. He has been averaging 3.4 fantasy hockey points per game.

Right Wing Value Plays

Tyler Toffoli – Los Angeles Kings ($6,000): Toffoli has played great this season for the Kings with 22 goals and 13 assists this season. He plays on the Kings’ top line with Anze Kopitar and Milan Lucic which is another plus.  He has scored three goals in his last three games along with 28 shots on goal over his last 10 games.

Center Top Plays

Jonathan Toews – Chicago Blackhawks ($8,900): Toews has been solid during the Blackhawks winning streak. He has seven goals and 12 points with 30 shots on goal in his last ten games. He faces off against the Predators tonight, a team who he has scored 35 points in 42 career games against.

Nicklas Backstrom ($6,600) continues to produce for the Caps as well as my fantasy hockey lineups. Backstrom has been consistent all season scoring 42 points in 42 games. He also plays on Washington’s top line with Alex Ovechkin and runs Washington’s top power-play unit if that wasn’t enough!

Center Value Plays

Jason Spezza – Dallas Stars ($5,700): Spezza has at least one point in eight of his last nine games with two goals. He faces off against the Kings tonight.

Notables: NameStnikov

DefensemanTop Plays

Duncan Keith – Chicago Blackhawks ($5,800): Keith makes a good pick every night.  He plays a ton of minutes for the Hawks, getting PP1 minutes with the Kane line.  He averages 2.9 fantasy hockey points per game and has seven goals this season and an assist in each of his last three games.

Victor Hedman – Tampa Bay Lightning ($6,300): Hedman is playing some good hockey which could be why his team has been playing well. He has a three game point streak going and 16 shots on goal during his last five games. He goes tonight against an Oilers team that is struggling and playing a back to back.

Defenseman Value Plays

Jake Muzzin – Los Angeles Kings ($4,900): Muzzin has quietly had one of the best point streaks by a defenseman.  He has five goals and 19 assists in 44 games this season for the Kings. Muzzin is a must start for the price, even against the Dallas.

Shayne Gostisbehere – Philadelphia Flyers ($4,000): Gostisbehere is surprisingly cheap on FanDuel despite having 16 points in his first 25 games. Since returning to the Flyers’ lineup after he suffered a lower-body injury he hasn’t scored a point, but Ghostisbehere has not hesitated to shoot the puck, which has helped his fantasy numbers; he has taken 11 total shots in the last two games, so his chances of putting one in helps his upside. Add to that he also plays on the Flyers’ top power-play unit. Gostisbehere is quite bargain at only $4,000.

Erik Gustafsson ($3,800) Gustafsson has assists in four straight games.  He also plays on the second power-play unit. He’s a great value player at only $3,800.

Notables: Matt Niskanen

Goalie Top Plays

Henrik Lundqvist – New York Rangers ($9,100): While he has struggled this season at times, it looks like Henrik is back to being King. He has a save percentage of at least .935 in the last three games and goes against the Canucks team that struggles to put the puck in the net

Goalie Value Plays

James Reimer – Toronto Maple Leafs ($7,300): Reimer is my favorite pick in tonights slate.  Toronto has been playing pretty bad this season, but I still think that Reimer’s a great fantasy option with his .934 save percentage this season. He takes on the Flyers tonight who have been playing very well, but I think he can get you some fantasy points and the win.
